TWW - Thoughts
This snippet is the fourth in the Thoughts series - just short drabbles from different povs. This one is from Donna's perspective.
As I sit at my desk working, I allow my mind to roam down paths Josh says it should not go. But I can’t help but wonder. My focus skips from one subject to another before falling onto one that interests me. Today, it is the First Lady.
I wonder if she remembers a time before she had a secretary to schedule her appointments or to answer her calls. I wonder if she remembers how easily it used to be for her to hide in a crowd or to control it. I wonder if she regrets allowing her life to be turned upside down, inside out, and all the way around. I wonder if she has heard the words which sparkle in her eyes when she sees the person who holds her heart. I wonder if she has said the words herself.
I wonder if she knows she is not the only one who is in love with the administration’s press secretary.

you know how to word things so, well um amasingly - sorry i'm no writer so i can't think of the appropriate word to describe how you write
but it get's me every time.
I love Ainsley!

::shivers::
I love writing these TWW drabbles. So much into so little. I'm enjoying these more than I am the Repetition series right now.
Well, I like them better, but I'd like to see them be at least 100,000 words each. ::grins::
I'm fairly certain they would no longer qualify as drabbles if they were that long. Besides, I think what makes them so dramatic is that they are just snippets of what each person is thinking and feeling instead of the full explanation.
::smiles:: I could stop writing Repetition and focus on these, but I think
Donna/CJ was my first West Wing pairing, so my allegiance to that exceeds all other WW ships.
I love you even more for writing that bit in.
Oh, and I wanted to thank you. Because of you, I stumbled across
Still. Crazy amazing.
I hope you'll perhaps write Chenzel now.

I've actually got a few ideas, so if I can find the time, I might give writing a try. Ooooo...a new fandom. :-)
(I just found a new fandom today, actually. I rented the first disk of Firefly and got hooked.)
