TWW - Thoughts

This snippet is the fourth in the Thoughts series - just short drabbles from different povs. This one is from Donna's perspective.

As I sit at my desk working, I allow my mind to roam down paths Josh says it should not go. But I can’t help but wonder. My focus skips from one subject to another before falling onto one that interests me. Today, it is the First Lady.

I wonder if she remembers a time before she had a secretary to schedule her appointments or to answer her calls. I wonder if she remembers how easily it used to be for her to hide in a crowd or to control it. I wonder if she regrets allowing her life to be turned upside down, inside out, and all the way around. I wonder if she has heard the words which sparkle in her eyes when she sees the person who holds her heart. I wonder if she has said the words herself.

I wonder if she knows she is not the only one who is in love with the administration’s press secretary.

oo ooo ooo this is good
you know how to word things so, well um amasingly - sorry i'm no writer so i can't think of the appropriate word to describe how you write

but it get's me every time.

Thank you! This one came out of nowhere. I had thought Sam would be next, but I think I jinxed myself when I told you he's normally easy for me to write. I have the first half of his installment written but can't seem to finish it. I was working on it when Donna's voice popped into my head.

I love Ainsley!
To echo the incoherent... Soooooooo good.

I wonder if she knows she is not the only one who is in love with the administration’s press secretary.

::grins:: Thank you! I love to make you go incoherent.

I love writing these TWW drabbles. So much into so little. I'm enjoying these more than I am the Repetition series right now.

Well, I like them better, but I'd like to see them be at least 100,000 words each. ::grins::

I'm fairly certain they would no longer qualify as drabbles if they were that long. Besides, I think what makes them so dramatic is that they are just snippets of what each person is thinking and feeling instead of the full explanation.

::smiles:: I could stop writing Repetition and focus on these, but I think [info]janevok might have a problem with that. ;)

Donna/CJ was my first West Wing pairing, so my allegiance to that exceeds all other WW ships.
I love you even more for writing that bit in.
lol. I'm glad you liked it. Although I'm not a CJ/Donna fan (strictly CJ/Abbey for me), I thought it fit for this particular drabble. Yea! I'm so happy I made you happy.

Oh, and I wanted to thank you. Because of you, I stumbled across [info]chenzel_love, which I absolutely adore. I'm trying to make my way through some of the fan fiction, but my giddiness makes it hard to concentrate. :-)
Oh, mine too. I found it myself not too long ago, but in less than a week read all the posts due to my overexuberance.
Still. Crazy amazing.
I hope you'll perhaps write Chenzel now.

I only found the group yesterday and have already finished reading everything. I'm obsessed! lol.

I've actually got a few ideas, so if I can find the time, I might give writing a try. Ooooo...a new fandom. :-)
Your exitement mirrors my own.
(I just found a new fandom today, actually. I rented the first disk of Firefly and got hooked.)
I'm trying to stay away from new fandoms, which is usually easy considering my complete lack of time for anything personal. However, like you, new temptations come along and I find myself hooked.
